The Book of Mormon Part 2

So that night they had a dance. This is the field that you over looked form the building the dance was held in. As the night went on and it got dark the wards started leaving the dance one by one. first they took you down the path to a little clearing and talked to the kids about Lehi's dream and how the kids now got to be part of that dream. Next we walked down the long trail that you can see in the photo above, it was very dark out and we could not talk and had no light. When we got about 1/4 of the way down the trail there was a member of the stake there and asked us to look back. As we looked back there stood this building all lit up in lights with rock music playing very loud and people laughing and dancing around, it was breath taking. We then keeped on the path till you see to people way in the back of the Photo, we then went off the path and started up the hill where we fond a rod we could hold on to while we walked thew lots of smoke. As we came to the end of the rod we came to a small clearing and there stood the stake yw pres. with her councilors dressed in white the stake president dressed in white and a tree all lit up in lights. We sat there as the Stake President talked to us about living the way we should to make it back to our Father in Heaven. They then let us go back to the dance witch most kids did not want to go back to, they wanted to keep the filling that they had.

Me and my first councilor making our kids imbaresed at the dance

The next morning they got every one up early and had us go on this hike that was not to long but STRAIGHT up a mountain. When we got there and I got my lungs working, we were on top of this mountain looking over mountain after mountain. They had us sing some hymns have a prayer and then said they had some one that would like to talk to us. out from behind the trees walks Mormon.

As he stood there and told us of his life it brought him to life. They then passed out little gold plates to everyone to wright their thoughts on. It was so worth the killer hike up that mountain.

Next up was skit time. Each ward was given a part of the Book of Mormon to act out we had 1st Nephi.

It was then time for the Final Battle. How fun was that. They made two teams I got to be a Nephite, Debbie and Spencer where Lamanites. They gave everyone blow up swords put us in to lines in the big field and said go. That's the Lamanites coming to get us.

the kid on the left flying through the air is my sisters boy going after the YM pres.

The kids on the ground are the ones that have been killed three times so they could not get back up.

The guy in the green shirt and red hat is the bishop going after some of our YM and YW

More nephites and lamanites down

As we sat in this field they start playing a song I have heard before but do not know the name of. Its about Moroni and the final battle then out of the trees walks Moroni. He walks around the battle field while the song is playing.

I wish I could show you the look on his face as he walked around us the spirit was so strong.

He then talked to us and told us how he felt to see what he did.

He then walked back up to the trees and was gone. The field was so quite

Then they has us put on blind folds and Waite till some one came to get us and leed us to the building where they were playing a video of the leaders of the church talking about the Book of Mormon and bearing testimony of it. When every one was there they ended with a testimony meeting. They are so great when you get to hear from so many youth.

After the testimony meeting we were done this is the car ride home.

I don't think I have ever been to a Youth Conference the has straighten my testimony so much. I wish every YM and YW in the church could exuberance it.

This sounds so neat. It must of been a great experience. I wonder if it could be turned into a RS or ward activity... any suggestions?
