Book of Mormon Part 1

This last weekend Debbie, Spencer and I got to go to Youth Conference the our Stake put on. It was on The Book of Mormon. In January they gave all the kids parts of the Book that they needed to read. Then Friday morning at 9 am we all went down to the Stake Center and gathered in the chapel. As the YM President was talking to us he told us that in the next two days they wanted us to live parts of the Book of Mormon. They gave all the drivers a Liahona and then Lehi walked to the front of the chapel and told us about his life and how the Lord had asked him to take his family in to the wilderness and that we would now be going into the wilderness for our journey. We then gathered in our cars and read our first clue from the Leahona. It asked us to go up I 80 and as we went read some scripture as we went. This is my car.

Our next clue from our Liahona was to stop and view the great waters.

Next it led us to the Stake property (where we had just left the Friday before for girls camp) where we did service and at lunch.

It then took us to the church in Woodland UT where all the ward made their own Title of Liberty.

We next went to Mill Hollow Lake and took a 3 mile hike over to Mill Hollow camp to arrive in the Promised Land.


When we got there some of the kids helped make King Benjamin's tower.

Spencer got to help with that.

After dinner we all gathered around the tower and out of the woods comes King Benjamin. He climbs his tower and gives us his speech. It was really neat.
